Well, I can't really know that unless I know exactly what he purchased. There were certainly suggestions, but I have no way of knowing how much of it he took into account. Again, that lack of clairvoyance and all.

For a moment it looks like he's going to respond immediately, and he's about halfway through one of the usual incredibly flamboyant hand gestures when his gaze flicks back down over the words being displayed on the screen and that hand is promptly resting lightly over his mouth as he's clearly not trying to openly laugh. Just. Just give him a moment.]

Well, that's about the last adjective most would use when describing me - which is fine by me, really - but I'll take it for now.

It's been a unique one. I'm more used to taking gifts than receiving them.

A sentiment I can fully understand, believe me - although, since it does seem that those in this world seem inclined to throw gifts at one another for just about every reason imaginable and several others that are not, I'm not exactly inclined to complain about such things, either.

Oh? They don't have holidays in Albion? Or rather, they don't have ones that involve gift-giving traditions?

Ah, no...no, we do - just not nearly as many as this place seems to, there seems to be a holiday occurring nearly every five minutes around here. Granted, a fair few of them are religion-based, if I'm not mistaken - that isn't exactly something most practice, in Albion, at least not like they used to. The names of the gods are still invoked from time to time, though it's become more a habit of speech that's passed down than anything; the gods haven't been truly revered for many, many years now.

Many of them are, though not all by the same religion — which may be what makes a fair amount of the difference.

So what do you revere in Albion now, if not the gods?

Most are more interested in their survival than anything the gods can offer; personally, I've had enough experiences with supernatural creatures for many lifetimes, some of which could be seen as evidence of those gods existing, and I really want nothing more to do with them myself. It's less a matter of lack of belief and more a matter of lack of interest.
